Workshops

Workshop A

Taking full advantage of the Arkenstall Centre’s stage and professional lighting rig, the wonderful Elizabeth Aitken will be teaching a workshop on Stage Presence and Performance

With a professional lighting rig manned by a trained lighting technician, in this workshop you can literally learn how to be in the spotlight for a performance

So often we are fixated on remembering the choreography. Without knowing it we’re in front of an audience with a frown of concentration on our face and our shoulders all hunched up as we worry our way through a performance.

Elizabeth, famous for the emotion she can project through a dance, will teach us how to bring out our inner diva, so that we shine instead of cringe while we occupy centre stage.

Workshop B

The amazing Nyla will be leading a Global Caravan workshop. Global Caravan (formally Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance) is a distinctive style of tribal belly dance focused on group improvisation, feminine strength, and community.

Nyla is a JWAAD trained teacher who teaches, performs and choreographs Egyptian, Tribal and Fusion bellydance.

Workshop C

If we have enough interest to look like there would be attendees for a second series of workshops running in parallel, we will open up a second room and announce them here. That all depends on the number of people who decide to come.
