If anyone is wondering why there is no more news coming out of your local Friends in the Fens, and why we’re not selling tickets yet, these things are connected.
We are currently busy with the paperwork – the risk assessments etc, setting up a bank account and investigating options for selling the tickets.
We’ve found people willing to teach those extra two workshops – C&D – but of course we can’t confirm anything until we know how many people are coming. And we can’t do that until after we’ve started selling tickets.
The lighting engineer has to be shown around the lighting rig at the hall, so she can work the spotlights on the stage for us. The people doing the decorations and the music also need an early tour of the grounds so they know what they’re working with, and all of that has to be set up with the caretaker of the hall.
So although we may have gone quiet, we continue to be busy in the background, and progress is being made though it may not be outwardly visible.
